Jersey creative companies showcase local talent - and preview Branchage Film Festival

A Showcase of local business talent is soon to be on display, with the launch of the Creative Jersey ‘Industry Showcase’.

Over 20 local businesses will be demonstrating their capabilities within the creative sector, at the Royal Yacht Hotel on Friday 10 July.

Advertising, digital and video production, film, graphic design, marketing, media, photography, PR, printing, training and website experts, together with Jersey Enterprise, will be offering the business community the opportunity to see what is available from within the Island.

Designed to raise the profile of creative services available from within Jersey, the event has been put together by Creative Jersey, the Association recently formed to support the Island’s creative sector. This is the association’s second major event of the year, following on from their ‘Marketing Through the Recession’ seminar held in January, which attracted over 200 people.

The Showcase is free to attend, pre-registration is not required, and the event will be open from 3.00pm and 6.00pm, following which there will be a preview of the Branchage Film Festival until 7.00pm.

Chairman of Creative Jersey, Martyn Aubert, said:

“This is an important event for the Island’s business community. In support of the ‘Think Twice, Buy Local’ campaign, we want to be able to demonstrate the breadth and depth of talent available locally within the creative services sector. We want to remind businesses that, as well as their local clients, many Jersey based creative businesses already work with clients on the international stage; so we would invite them to ‘Think Twice’ before they look elsewhere”.

“We are also delighted to be able to offer the Branchage Film Festival a platform for the launch of this year’s event, which is another exciting example of Jersey talent at its best”.

Event Details:

• 3pm: Showcase opens
• 6pm: Showcase closes
• Branchage preview starts in bar area
• 7pm: Event closes.
