Channel Television is one of only three completely independent ITV licensees, and has been providing a high quality broadcasting service to the Channel Islands for amost 50 years. In addition to regional news and current affairs output, other outside broadcast commitments include Sports Personality of the Year and NatWest Island Games coverage.
 
In addition to teams of producers and camera crews (which can be hired out), facilities include digital editing and dubbing suites, film and music libraries, and a graphics department.
 
Channel Television continues to support the independent sector where possible, and has commissioned two series from local production companies to be shown in the first half of 2009. 
 
The Commercial team at Channel Television offers local and UK businesses TV commercial production and various other corporate communications solutions.
 
Creative Producers work with local advertising agencies or with advertisers directly, to produce high quality, cost-effective TV commercials for airing on Channel Television or elsewhere. It's a full-service offering taking care of the entire production from initial idea to final edit.
 
Channel Television also works with a variety of local and UK businesses to deliver audio-visual 'corporate production' solutions. These range from visitor education and interpretation productions, to training videos, to DVD postcards and digital signage in retail locations. 
 
In November 2008, Channel Television received a Ministerial Commendation for a 'Firearms' DVD production for Prison ! Me ! No Way !!! . The 8 minute drama, covering reproduction firearms abuse, was shown in all Jersey schools participating in PNMW Crime Days.
